Sensor Data
Temperature Monitoring:- Operates from -30°C to 60°C with an accuracy of ±0.5°C.
- Measures relative humidity (%) to monitor environmental conditions.
- Measures light exposure in lux levels.
- Detects and measures impact using G-force data.
Battery Life
Factors Affecting Battery Duration
- Transmission Interval Frequency: More frequent transmissions drain the battery faster.
- GPS Usage: Enabling GPS significantly reduces battery life.
- Extreme Temperatures: Cold or hot environments impact battery efficiency.
- Shock: The battery will drain faster, especially if the sensitivity is set to high, as it takes more power to detect the slightest movements.
Updating Tracker Reporting Intervals & Battery Status
Changing Reporting Intervals
- Relation Between Intervals: The measurement interval must always be equal to or less than the transmission interval. This ensures that all measured data can be transmitted during each connection.
- Accessing Tracker Intervals: Tracker Intervals can be accessed through the Trackers tab in the Tive Platform homepage.

By clicking All Trackers, the user is presented with all the devices that are assigned to the account from which they are viewing it from.

Once the user clicks on the Tracker, they are shown the Tracker Sensor, Alerts, Reports, Settings, and Details.

Under Settings, the user can interact with both Transmission and Measurement intervals depending on their logistics needs.
Setting Intervals:
- Range of Settings: Intervals can be set as frequently as every 5 minutes or as infrequently as every 24 hours.

Transportation Type Impact:
- Short-Distance or Quick Shipments (e.g., road): Frequent intervals are recommended to closely monitor cargo and ensure safety.

- Long-Distance or Extended Shipments (e.g., ocean): Longer intervals are advised to conserve battery life, especially for journeys lasting months.

Battery Percentage Is Dynamic
The battery percentage shown in the platform is dynamic and updates over time based on how the tracker is used. Factors that influence battery consumption include:
-
Reporting frequency (shorter intervals use more battery)
-
GPS usage
-
Environmental conditions (extreme heat or cold)
-
Sensor activity (such as shock detection)
Because of this, battery percentage may change as shipment conditions or reporting settings change.
Battery Optimization Tip
GPS provides higher location accuracy but uses more power. It’s best suited for short-haul or time-sensitive shipments. For longer shipments, such as ocean freight, less frequent reporting and non-GPS tracking can help extend battery life.
Real-Time Battery Monitoring
- Battery status can be checked via the Trackers page.
- Low battery indicators: A blinking red light or no indicator suggests depletion.
Tracker Durability & Activation
- Build Quality: Solo 5G is IP67-rated, while Solo Lite is IP65-rated, ensuring strong water resistance.
- Activation: Press and hold the power button until the blue LED blinks. For reactivation, a short press resumes data transmission. For more detailed information, click here.
