Viewing Shipments and Shipment Details

Shipment List

Shipments are organized into three views: In-Transit, Upcoming, and Completed. Use the selector at the top of the screen to switch between them.

Each shipment card shows the latest sensor readings from the tracker. If a reading triggered an alert, it's highlighted in red.The alert count badge uses two shades of red: dark red means there are unresolved alerts, light red means all alerts on that shipment have been resolved. The "last connected" time is when the tracker last communicated with the Tive platform, not when the shipment last moved.

Searching

Tap the search bar at the top of the shipment list to search by Shipment ID, Tracker ID, or location.

Quick Filters (Upcoming view)

The Upcoming view has a row of filter chips for narrowing the list quickly:

  • Departing Today — shipments with a departure time today.
  • At My Location — shipments originating within 5 km of your current location.
  • Needs Action — shipments that don't have a tracker assigned yet.
  • Created by Me — shipments you created.

You can combine multiple quick filters. Your selections are saved on your device, so you don't have to re-select them every time you open the app.

Quick filters are currently available on the Upcoming view only. In-Transit and Completed views use the Filters & Sorting screen for filtering.

Filters & Sorting

Tap the Filters icon to access additional filtering options, including Alert Type (filter by Temperature, Shock, Geofence, etc.), Shipment Status, Account, and Ship From / Ship To. Your selections are saved between uses.

Collaborator Shipments

If someone has shared a shipment with you as a collaborator, it will appear in your shipment list automatically. If you've shared a shipment with a collaborator, they'll see it in their app as well.

Shipment Details

Tap a shipment to open its details page, where you can view the map, browse the timeline, investigate alerts, and add comments.

Map

The map shows your shipment's route with a solid line for the path already traveled and a dashed line for the upcoming route. The current location pin is color-coded by location method: blue for GPS, green for cellular, orange for WiFi, and grey for vessel or air. Tap the map to expand it full-screen.

Alert markers appear where alerts were triggered along the route. When multiple alerts are close together, they group into a single numbered icon. Tap the group to zoom in and see individual alerts.

Tap the Home button to reset the map to show the full route.

Alerts

In the shipment timeline, tap any alert to see when it started, where it occurred, what triggered it, and whether it has recovered. From the Alert Detail screen you can:

  • Resolve the alert or update its status.
  • Add comments and activity notes. Comments have a 500-character limit.

You can also resolve alerts directly from the timeline without opening the full detail screen.

Shipment Timeline

The timeline shows all shipment events in order, grouped by day. Timestamps use your device's timezone. Events include alerts triggered and recovered, shipment created/started/completed, and leg transitions with carrier and container details.

Resolved alerts are marked with a green check.

Use the Only Active Alerts filter to hide recovered and resolved alerts and focus on what still needs attention.

Note: Cumulative probe temperature alerts are not currently shown in the shipment timeline.

Opening Shipments from Links

Tapping a shipment link (from an alert email or push notification, for example) opens the shipment directly in the app.

Troubleshooting

"Where is my tracker data?" Tracker data is only visible in the app when the tracker is attached to a shipment. Standalone tracker data is available on the web platform.

"The timestamps look wrong." The app uses your device's timezone for all timestamps. Check your device's date and time settings if they look off.

"My filters disappeared." Filter selections are saved on your device. If you reinstalled the app or switched devices, you'll need to set them again.
