Deployment
- Attach the Tracker: Securely attach the Tive Tracker to the shipment using the adhesive pad on the tracker. Place the device on the last pallet facing the door for optimal connectivity or on the trailer door. Ensure the device is positioned as close to the doors as possible, preferably on the last pallet, to maintain a clear signal for optimal data transmission.
- Do not cover, hide, or obstruct the Trackers, as this may impact sensor readings.
An example image is displayed below.
It is advisable to switch on the tracker a few hours before packing your shipment to verify data transmission. If activating the tracker within a facility with a weak cellular signal, data may not appear on the platform until the device exits the facility. Rest assured, the device will continue to record data as long as it remains on. To verify that the device is transmitting data to the platform, you can activate the tracker a few hours prior to packing your shipment.
Configuration
After activation, each device can be configured via our Platform. Configuration options include:
- Transmission Settings: Adjust how frequently the device transmits data to our Platform. Options vary depending on your Platform Tier.
- Measurement Settings: Adjust how frequently the device measures the sensor data.
- GPS: Provides highly accurate location tracking, but can drain the battery more quickly than WiFi and cellular. It is recommended to activate GPS only when precise accuracy is necessary for short-distance shipments.
