Organization Settings

The Organization tab in Tive provides users with control over company settings, account management, and integrations. It is available by default to admin users, but may also be made available to other users in role settings. The Organization tab can be accessed from the dropdown menu (with your user’s initial) in the top right corner of the Tive platform.

Admin users can navigate this section to manage various aspects of their organization. From this section, you can:

  • Manage accounts
  • Manage and invite new users
  • Configure webhooks and API integrations
  • Reassign trackers between accounts

General Company Settings

The General tab provides an overview of your organization’s settings. Here, admin users can:

  1. Upload a company logo and branding colors for shared shipment reports. This is only accessible on our Plus & Premium Tier.
  2. Update company contact information, including email and phone number.
  3. Set the preferred unit of measurement (Metric or Imperial) for shipment data.

Account Management

From the Accounts tab, you can create and edit accounts within your organization. Accounts are helpful tools to organize your supply chain divisions, often by region or account. Users are added to one or multiple accounts. Using accounts ensures that users only have access to the shipments and data that are relevant to them.

Edit and Deactivate Accounts:

To edit an existing account, click the 'Edit' button located under the three dots on the right side of the screen. If you wish to deactivate an account, simply click 'Deactivate'. Below is a list of the fields you can edit within an account.

  • Account Name
  • Assign Webhooks (Premium only)
  • Assign Users: Add existing users to accounts
  • Invite New Users: Invite team members to join your account
  • Automatic Shipment Delay: Set a time delay for shipment completion after reaching the destination. For more details, read our Automatic Shipment Delay article.
  • Automatic Report Generation: Automatically generate reports for all shipments. Customize report template (type, sensor data, time zone, visibility) and specify if it should be sent to specific users upon shipment completion or when it's X km close to the destination.
  • Allow locations to be shared throughout the organization: Enabling this feature will allow users to share locations in this account with all other accounts within your organization.

API and Webhook Management

The API & Webhook tabs allow you to configure Webhooks and API settings to automate data movement between Tive and external systems.

From this section, you can:

  1. View, edit, and create Webhooks
  2. Configure API keys for seamless integration
  3. Customize data transfer settings based on business needs

Trackers & Reassignment

The Trackers tab within the Organization section provides visibility into all devices assigned to your organization. 

From this tab, admin users can:

  • View all trackers assigned to different accounts
  • Reassign trackers between accounts as needed

To reassign a tracker between accounts:

  1. Navigate to the Trackers tab within the organization page.
  2. Use the Tracker Name or Filter by Account option to locate the device.
  3. Select the tracker(s) and click Change Account.
  4. Choose the new account and confirm the update.

Note: Ensure that trackers are not actively assigned to shipments before reassignment, as this will automatically complete the shipment and reset tracker configurations. The shipment can be recreated, but it cannot be backdated, and the device data will be reset.

Key Points to Know

  • Only admins can modify organizational settings, while other users have limited access.
  • Creating accounts within your organization enables more scalable management of your shipments and their data.
  • Webhooks and API integrations can be customized based on automation needs. They’re accessible on the Premium Tier only.
  • Company branding and contact details can be updated in the general tab.
  • Trackers can be reassigned between accounts, but doing so completes any active shipments the device is assigned to.
