Shipment Reports
Why Use Reports
Tive’s shipment reports are used to power critical supply chain decisions and workflows. Most notably, they can be key to disputing costly claims and in making product release decisions at delivery. Tive’s reports offer the following:
-
Centralized Data: All relevant shipment information in one file to share with key stakeholders.
-
Flexible Export Options: Choose between PDF, PDF with raw data, or CSV formats.
-
Detailed Logs: Timestamps and geolocation data ensure full traceability.
-
Automated Sharing: Send reports directly to internal users or external collaborators upon shipment completion (Plus tier).
Accessing Shipment Reports
Reports can be both accessed and generated from two areas in the platform, the reports tab or an individual shipment’s details. If you want to create a report with data from multiple shipments, you must go to the reports tab.
To access reports via:
Reports Tab: View, download, or generate reports across multiple shipments.
-
Select Shipments > Reports from the navigation menu. Select Generate New Report in the upper right corner.
Shipment View: Generate a report for a specific shipment.
-
Select Shipments > All Shipments and then select an individual shipment. Go to the Reports tab and then select Generate New Report.
Generating Reports
Once you access the report generation page using either of the methods mentioned above, you will be able to configure the report.
You’ll be prompted to select:
Shipments (via reports tab only):
-
Select one or multiple shipments to include in the report
Type:
-
PDF
-
PDF with raw sensor data
-
CSV
Date Range (single shipment report only): Set a custom date and time range to include specific shipment activity, or select the full shipment duration.
-
The start date is either the shipment’s scheduled departure time OR the time the shipment was manually started by a user (whichever occurs first).
-
The end date is the time the shipment was completed. By default, a shipment is completed 24 hours after it arrives at the destination. However, a custom shipment completion delay can be configured in account settings. A shipment may also be completed manually at any time.
-
If the shipment is not yet completed, selecting “full duration” will use the current time as the end date.
Note: If you select multiple shipments, the reports will be generated for the whole shipment duration.

What’s in the Report
Each report includes:
-
Timestamp of report generation
-
Shipment ID, route, departure, and arrival times
-
Carrier and mode of transport
-
Alert summary: types, counts, durations
-
If an alert triggers multiple times, the duration is the cumulative duration of the alert
-
-
Sensor metric summaries (if a sensor metric option other than location was selected)
-
A chart with the selected sensor metric over the duration selected in the report configuration
-
The min, max, and average value of the selected sensor metric by leg
-
MKT (Mean Kinetic Temperature)
-
MKT is most often used by the pharmaceutical industry to understand the impact of temperature on the stability of a drug. It is a weighted average temperature that gives more weight to longer durations at higher temperatures.
-
Tive includes the data from the date range selected in the report configuration for its MKT calculation.
