Sensor Data
Temperature Monitoring:- Operates from -30°C to 60°C with an accuracy of ±0.5°C.
- Measures relative humidity (%) to monitor environmental conditions.
- Measures light exposure in lux levels.
- Detects and measures impact using G-force data.
Battery Life
Factors Affecting Battery Duration
- Transmission Interval Frequency: More frequent transmissions drain the battery faster.
- GPS Usage: Enabling GPS significantly reduces battery life.
- Extreme Temperatures: Cold or hot environments impact battery efficiency.
- Shock: The battery will drain faster, especially if the sensitivity is set to high, as it takes more power to detect the slightest movements.
Updating Tracker Reporting Intervals & Battery Status
Changing Reporting Intervals
You can adjust how often a tracker measures and sends data based on how it’s being used, either before it’s assigned to a shipment or while it’s actively tracking one.
-
From the Trackers page:
If a tracker is not yet on a shipment, you can update its reporting intervals directly from the tracker settings. This is useful for preparing devices ahead of time or for general inventory management.

-
While a tracker is on a shipment:
Reporting intervals can also be updated while the tracker is actively tracking a shipment. Any changes will take effect the next time the tracker connects to the platform.

Note: If a predefined configuration is applied, individual tracker settings cannot be changed until that configuration is removed or updated.
Battery Percentage Is Dynamic
The battery percentage shown in the platform is dynamic and updates over time based on how the tracker is used. Factors that influence battery consumption include:
-
Reporting frequency (shorter intervals use more battery)
-
GPS usage
-
Environmental conditions (extreme heat or cold)
-
Sensor activity (such as shock detection)
Because of this, battery percentage may change as shipment conditions or reporting settings change.
Battery Optimization Tip
GPS provides higher location accuracy but uses more power. It’s best suited for short-haul or time-sensitive shipments. For longer shipments, such as ocean freight, less frequent reporting and non-GPS tracking can help extend battery life.
Real-Time Battery Monitoring
- Battery status can be checked via the Trackers page.
- Low battery indicators: A blinking red light or no indicator suggests depletion.
Tracker Durability & Activation
- Build Quality: Solo 5G is IP67-rated, while Solo Lite is IP65-rated, ensuring strong water resistance.
- Activation: Press and hold the power button until the blue LED blinks. For reactivation, a short press resumes data transmission. For more detailed information, click here.
