Benefits of Summary Analytics:
- Full Supply Chain Visibility: Understand trends across all of your Tive shipments to optimize logistics and identify inefficiencies.
- Improve Efficiency: Use aggregated data to streamline decision-making and reduce operational costs.
- Track Key Metrics: Monitor shipment duration, temperature, alerts, and more to ensure compliance and performance.
- Customizable Insights: Apply filters to surface insights and access dashboards tailored to your specific business needs.
- Data-Driven Decisions: Leverage real-time analytics to enhance supply chain operations and improve response times.
Example: As a logistics manager, you can use ‘Summary Analytics’ to track carriers with frequent shipment delays, helping you spot trends and choose better vendors. By analyzing past delays, you can identify seasonal patterns, predict bottlenecks, and take proactive steps to reduce disruptions.
For temperature-sensitive shipments, you can monitor temperature fluctuations across different transport modes and routes. This helps identify problem areas, improve carrier selection, and prevent compliance issues or product spoilage.
How It Works
Tive Analytics is built on completed shipment data, meaning only shipments that have been completed are included in the analysis. Data updates every 6 hours.
Accessing Summary Analytics
- Locate the Analytics Section: Navigate to the "Analytics" tab in the navigation bar

- Analyze Data: View Summary Analytics to track specific shipment metrics.
The image below displays an example of the analytics dashboard with user customizations.
Key Points to Know
- Completed Shipments Only: Data is based on shipments that have been fully completed, ensuring accuracy.
- Filter by Shipment Stage: Choose from In Transit, At Origin, At Destination, or Leg Transition to focus on specific phases.
- Data Refresh Rate: Analytics data updates automatically every 6 hours for up-to-date tracking.
- Permissions-Based Access: Users can only view shipments from accounts they have access to, and if they have General or Admin access. You can view more on how to change user access and roles in our User Management Article.
Best Practices
Apply Filters:
- Account: Ensure that the analytics are filtered by the correct account. The default setting only filters for the account you are currently viewing.
- Date Range: Select a specific time period to focus on shipments within a particular timeframe.
- Mode: Filter by transportation type (e.g., air, ocean, road, or rail) to analyze performance across different shipping methods.
- Carrier: Narrow results to shipments handled by a specific carrier for performance tracking and comparisons.
- Origin: Focus on shipments departing from a particular location to analyze regional trends and efficiency.
- Destination: Filter by delivery location to assess shipment performance and identify patterns in different regions.
- Exclude Invalid Shipments: Shipments missing key data (e.g., no location records, incomplete distance traveled) are automatically excluded to maintain accurate reporting.
