Dry Ice Probe Overview
Tive Dry Ice Probe is an extension accessory designed to be compatible with Tive Solo 5G pharma products. The dry ice probe is built with the intention of enabling you to measure extreme temperature ranges in real time that an ordinary tracking device is incapable of measuring. The Tive Dry Ice Probe operates on a temperature range of -100°C to + 50°C.
The Tive Dry Ice Probe is mainly used in the cold supply chain and temperature-sensitive supply chain, especially in the Pharmaceutical and Perishable Goods Industries.
Getting Started with your Dry Ice Probe
To start using your Dry Ice Probe, you first need a charged Tive Solo 5G pharma device (pharma devices begin their identifying number with the letter J or K).
Plug the probe’s Micro-USB connector into the tracker’s Micro- USB port. The port is located on the left side of the tracker, under the protective silicone cover.
Once the probe is connected securely, press the Start button on the tracker until the tracker turns ON. The blue LED light will turn ON and blink several times to indicate that the tracker is active and will start transmitting data.
Interacting with your Dry Ice Probe
Once you have activated the tracker, you can navigate to the Tive Platform, log in, and then navigate to the tracker by typing the tracker ID in the search bar.
You will notice that in the left panel a new sensor tab reading ‘Probe’ has appeared.
You can use the arrows to navigate between the different readings or click on the Probe tab to open a more detailed graph of the data.
Generating Reports
You can further interact with the tracker by generating reports of the gathered data. To do this, navigate to the Reports tab of the panel and click on the ‘Generate new report’ tab,
A new panel will open on the right side of the screen. In this panel, you can choose the report type, the data range, and the sensor data you want to appear on the report. This is a multi-choice field, if you want the probe data to also be included in the report, please make sure to select the ‘Probe’ option.
Once you are done with customizing the report you can click the ‘Generate’ button. The report will start loading and soon will become available for download.
Setting up Alerts
Alerts can be configured to be triggered based on the probe temperature data rather than the tracker temperature data. To do this, you can navigate to the Configure tab on the menu. Choose the ‘Alert Presets’ option from the drop-down menu and then click on the ‘Create New Preset’ button.
Make sure to choose the Probe option from the above menu. You will then be prompted to choose your trigger as follows:
Then you will be prompted to choose when you will be alerted:
And lastly when the alert should be active. This section is also multi-choice should you need visibility throughout the entire trip.
Afterward, you can click the ‘Finish’ button, and then the ‘Create’ button.
Once you have created the alert preset, you can go ahead and attach it to your device or shipment by navigating to said tracker/shipment. Navigate to Alerts>See Alert Presets>Apply New Alert Preset and then select the desired alert preset from the dropdown list and then click ‘Apply’.
