To manage configuration profiles, your user must have administrator privileges. If your user is not enrolled as an administrator you will not be allowed to follow the actions described in this article.
A configuration profile is a set of defined settings that can be applied to any Tive Tag data logger during the start process.
To create configuration profiles, log in to Tive Tag Portal and go to the “System” tab by pressing the button on the top right of the portal front page. Once there, select the “Profiles” tab to see a list of available configuration profiles.
Adding a configuration profile
To create a new one, click the “(+) Add profile” button on the top right of the Profiles view. This will open up the “Add Profile” dialog.
In the “Add Profile” dialog, the following inputs are available:
- Name - The name of the configuration profile - Choose what fits your organization best.
Many users choose to name the configuration profiles after what they apply to e.g. “Frozen Meat” or “Chilled Vegetables”. - Interval - The logging interval to be used in minutes. If set to 15 minutes, the data logger will store the temperature every 15 minutes.
- Delay - The start delay to be used in minutes. If set to 60 minutes, the data logger will wait 60 minutes before storing the first temperature value after it has been started.
- Min. Temperature - The minimum allowed temperature in degrees Celsius. This is used to trigger alerts and/or mark the temperature as “outside of limits” in reports. If the min. limit is set to -10°C and the data logger has logged -11°C, this could trigger an automatic email report based on alarm reporting.
- Max. Temperature - The maximum allowed temperature in degrees Celsius. This is used to trigger alerts and/or mark the temperature as “outside of limits” in reports. If the max. limit is set to +2°C and the data logger has logged +2.5°C, this could trigger an automatic email report based on alarm reporting.
- Use temperature limits - Select if Tive Tag Portal should use the min./max. temperature limits as defined above. If this is disabled, no e-mail alerts will be triggered and exported data reports will not indicate hot/cold temperatures.
- Use geolocation - Select if the geolocation should be collected when a data logger tag is seen by the Tag Tap application. E.g. a pin will be put on the map each time the data is read out.
- Use Fahrenheit as temperature unit in PDF/CSV - By default, all exported data in PDF reports or CSV format is delivered in celsius. Check this box if you want all the exported data to be delivered in Fahrenheit instead
Once you set up all the configurations you must press the “ADD PROFILE” button to the bottom of the dialog to save the configuration profile.
Alarm reporting:
-
Choose PDF reports - Select what triggers a PDF report to be sent by e-mail. Options are:
-
Report on all readings - Every time a tag data logger is read by the Tive Tag app, an automated e-mail will be sent out containing a PDF report of the temperature.
-
Report on breaches - Every time a tag data logger is read by the Tive Tag app, some of the temperatures are outside of the previously defined temperature range [Min. Temperature and Max. Temperature], an automated e-mail will be sent out containing a PDF report of the temperature.
-
Report on more breaches than limit - Every time a tag data logger is read by the Tive Tag app, the temperature is analyzed. If the temperature has been outside the previously defined temperature range [Min. Temperature and Max. Temperature] more times than defined in [Breach limits], an automated e-mail will be sent out containing a PDF report of the temperature.
-
Report on more breaches in a row than limit - Every time a tag data logger is read by the Tive Tag app, the temperature is analyzed. If the temperature has been outside the previously defined temperature range [Min. Temperature and Max. Temperature] more times in a row than defined in [Breach limits], an automated e-mail will be sent out containing a PDF report of the temperature.
-
-
PDF report Email - The email address(es) report should be sent to. You may enter several emails separated by comma (,). Make sure to leave no spaces in the field.
-
Breach limits - How many times the temperature limits can be breached before an alarm is triggered. Behavior depends on the selected mode in “Choose PDF reports”.
